Warren Callahan

Warren Callahan, one of the most inspirational and beloved people in the
world of stereoscopy, underwent surgery at 6:30 tonight for a malignant
brain tumor believed to be a glioblastoma multiforme. (Apparently, there
has been an erroneous email posting indicating that Warren had experienced
a stroke.) 

Warren came through the surgery, and is in the post-operative recovery
area at Tacoma General Hospital. He's going to be in the intensive care
unit for several days. I know many of you will be concerned, but this is
probably not the best time to try to phone or visit him. We (myself,
Phyllis Maslin, and Caryl Chaplin) conferenced with the neurosurgeon
following the operation, and barring complications, Warren will be
released from the hospital within a week.
