I knew I would fail to write this message clearly enough! What I mean 
is that I set the "far" point on the "far" lines of the mounting 
gauge. The experience of the image is that nearly everything is 
_behind_ the window. But a _few_ close objects (usually a twig or 
blade of grass) appear to stand in front of the window. I've just 
been worrying about violating the 3D rule that _nothing_ is to stand 
in front of the window. But the occasional twig just doesn't bother 
me that much. Heresy!
