|Hi all:
|I have come across 9 issues of an incredible magazine from the late '60's
|to early 70's called VENTURE (a travel mag cross between Natl Geographic &
|CondeNaste Traveller). On each cover is a beautiful 6-3/4" square
|lenticular photograph of the featured sight. It was a bimonthly
|publication of Cowles Communications. The photos are credited to VENTURE's
|"3-D Camera" as photographed by Visual Panographics Inc. various
|photographers.
|

You know, I hadn't thought about those for years. My folks had a subscription
to that (which I thought was incredibly boring at the time - the covers
were the only things of interest). The lenticular thing last only a
short time (as you noted). I kind of vaguely recall that the magazine didn't
do well, and they published a few issues with a standard photo type cover,
and then disappeared...

I have no idea what happened to 'em - probably thrown out (ouch!). I don't
recall seeing them 10 years ago when we broke up the estate...
