I gather from this and Bob Howard's comment that you cut the entire
roll into chips first, then sort them and mount.
I'm curious as to why you prefer this approach? Doesn't this make
it more likely to end up with psuedos or mismatched chips? Do you
sort them by eye or by frame numbers or both or...?
The technique I use is to cut 5 chips at a time on a light box, keeping
the chips in the proper position, then "Wess tabbing" the two complete
pairs into a mount, then cutting again. Since I never have more than 5
loose chips, there's very little chance of confusion. After the entire
roll has been cut and taped into mounts, I fire up the laminator and run
the whole batch through to heat-seal them.
I'd like to hear about other peoples' mounting techniques...
