Lutes film cutter/NSA 1997 issues

As you all know by know, quick film mounting is a big interest of mine, so
I followed up on the private emails people sent me about the one for sale
in Stereo World. It has been sold, so save yourself the phone call, and
save some wear and tear on the guy answering. I'm really interested in
tracking one down, and would swap either an overhauled Kodak or a pedestal
base for a VM Model D. Neither of these items is for sale-- exchange only.
Re the stereo mounting demonstration/workshop at NSA, so far not one
taker. Maybe it's already on the agenda, and everyone knows except me.
Maybe people just want to watch slide shows and schmooze in the bar.
Along the same lines, there's hardly any interest in a technical workshop
from members of this listserv, something I proposed a few digests back. I
know a lot of people work on cameras, build their own equipment, and have
enough technical/optical information to build a Hubble telescope. I think
the listserv is a good benchmark for determining interest in a tekkie
workshop, and I'm going to ask Phyllis to pull the plug on it as well.
Seems a shame too, because NSA could be such an ideal forum for the above.
I guess I'm still on as being a moderator or co-moderator for the Internet
(including photo-3d types) gathering at NSA. I'm planning to buy an "@"
symbol rubber stamp and make up some self sticking dots for the badges.
