I use heat-seal mounts from Reel-3D.  Seal 'em with an iron on medium heat,
pressing the edge down on the edge of the mount for 2-4 seconds, depending
on how hot the iron is, & working my way around the edges.  I use the tip
of the iron to seal the middle of the mount.  The iron is never actually
over the film, & I've never damaged the film this way.

Here's a general question about glues: what sorts of chemicals does one
want to avoid when the glue might come in contact with (a) a film chip or
(b) a print?
