The argument of reporting the "final product" is valid because of the
different formats that result in different number of slides (e.g. RBT S1 16
pairs, Belplasca 21 pairs, Realist 29 pairs, etc.) In some of my slide
copying experiments, I might get only 1-2 pairs to keep, out of an entire
roll.

However, there is a problem: What you consider "worth mounting" might not
be worth mounting for me. Different people have different standards. You
mounted 785 slides from an estimated of 31 rolls. I think I have kept less
slides from 88 rolls. My number of slides mounted in Albion mounts with
glass or foldovers is certainly less than 50. The rest are in plain Albion
mounts. Some of the glass-mounted slides have won Detroit awards or PSA
acceptances.

This is a problem when mounting slides too. If one mounts slides
infrequently then they forget how to do it or hesitate, creating the
well-known unmounted roll syndrome. There are people who have dozens of
unmounted rolls, some going as far back as 5 years! I never had this
problem, maybe because my excessive shooting and subsequent mounting is
keeping me in top shape!

When did we have this "posting the most messages" contest??? I must have
missed it!!! (BTW, Bob Wier has disallowed access to these counters, or it
would be very simple to see who is the winner! :)))
