I second the advice... There is a lot of material on the subject in the
archives.  I can send you a post or two that summarize IMO the situation
very well.  At the end, it boils down to personal opinion.  Advantages and
disadvantages of each format are a subjective issue.  Why not try both and
see what you like?

PS.  My first stereo pairs were prints... that's about it :)  But
