My opinion: I have always sold to the first person to write me. If they
ask a question, and I can clarify, they were still the first ones in my
"store"... Think of it that way. You have something for sale in your
physical store and someone walks in. They see it, ask you a question
about it, showing you that they are in some fashion interested. Now,
they turn to speak with a spouse or friend about it. A second customer
walks in and see's the same item. Can you in good conscience see it to
that second customer without asking the first one who showed interest
if they are still interested? If at that point they say no, then by all
means, sell it to the second customer. My 2 cents worth... (I guess
I've contributed about a buck or two's worth of opinion over the
years!!!) =)
