Bill Ewald Talk/Slide Show in Rochester

Rick Inzero just reminded me that I never posted details of Bill E's
upcoming talk/slideshow.

This will be at the Thursday, May 15 meeting of the Rochester Photo-
Historical Society. Held at the Brighton Town Hall at 2300 Elmwood Ave.
Meeting starts at 7 or 7:30 (I'm not a member, so I'm not sure) Never
clarified whether the meeting was open to the public, just tell 'em you're
there for Bill Ewald's talk. I'm told that even Mr. Kingslake sometimes
attends these meetings, so I'm sure I'll be in over my head. :--)

As I mentioned, this will be the first public demonstration of his push-
button stereo projector in nearly 20 years. Bill designed this for Kodak in
the '50's, but by the time it was built, the stereo boom had gone bust, so
it was never put into production. This one is the only one.

I tore it completely apart to the last nut and bolt last year and thoroughly
restored it to like-new condition after 20 years of damp basement storage
had done its thing on all the metal parts. It works sweetly, let me tell
ya!

Several list members have had the opportunity to see this beauty in action,
now anyone within driving distance can.

Best regards,
Bill Davis
