These filters are mentioned in "The 35mm Film Source Book" which I
discussed on April 23 (digest 2015), and probably in other sources
more specifically focussed on filters.  I don't have any experience
with them (although I want to try them after reading about them!),
but as I recall (someone correct me if I am wrong) they enhance warm
colors without affecting other colors.  They are especially useful
for enhancing scenes of sunsets or fall foliage without giving an
undesirable tint to other colors.
