Today I was food shopping in my local Safeway market (Marin county,
California), and I found some cases (12 cans) of Barq rootbeer in the
soft drink section that had "Free 3D Glasses" printed boldly on the
outside of the box, along with a big advertisement for the 3rd Rock
Finale on May 18th at 7/8 pm. Not only that, but apparently you get to
enter some kind of a lottery with the winning numbers being announced on
the program.
I bought a case and brought it home. I opened it carefully, wondering,
with this many cans of rootbeer, how many pairs of 3d glasses there
would be. I found ONE pair of 3d glasses pasted firmly to the inside of
the box where it would be very difficult to find unless you were looking
for it. I managed to get it out intact.
So here's the poop: the dark side is the RIGHT eye and appears to be
neutral gray.
(As for the lottery, there will be a 4-digit number announced on the
show, and you have to match it with a number on the bottle cap/gamepiece
of one of your bottles or cans.)
I hope the rootbeer is as good as the brand we usually drink!
