Re: 3rd Rock from the Sun

Actually, my most vivid moment of 3D in the show was when they
broke for a tornado sighting in my area and scrolling text
at the bottom of the screen jumped off the set.

I was a little disappointed. The 3D was visible for the sunflowers,
the moon landscape, the fishes, the kid running through the hallway
(the sideways, not endways, shots) and maybe a bit here and there
otherwise. In my opinion, and I'm no expert on this, they should
have had longer sequences to let the eyes "lock in" on the 3D,
they should not have interspersed the movement with stills (as
someone already pointed out), and FORGET THE ZOOMS! I don't know
what it was, but I don't know how zooms in and out would work
for pulfrich, and they didn't work at all for me, but my god,
they were zooming IN and OUT a whole LOT--massive zooms that
maybe had people without glasses thinking it would be cool if
they had glasses, but had people with glasses thinking they don't
see 3D but maybe they should be.

Anyway, time for my annual suggestion that with a lot of color
coordination, good 3D on TV might be doable with ChromaDepth (TM
glasses. <--Controversial
