I don't know of any inherent reason you couldn't take a 3DTV-type
video tape to a television station and have them broadcast it.
That would meet the criterion you describe above, depending on
how the word "generally" is interpreted.
Of course that would require shutter glasses or equivalent and stereo sync
recovery at the receiving end, which would cost considerably more than a pair
of cardboard glasses. :-)
... Ok, I'll take the bait - why would an SL3D-based broadcast be inherently
superior to a 2-lens 3D broadcast?
