It's my understanding that color *negative* motion picture stock is
*extremely* unstable. Even stored in the refrigerated film vault (a
treatment consumer negatives rarely get), some motion pictures made
within the last 20 years have been found to have decayed badly and
required restoration (a recent case in point is the original Star Wars
negative). I don't know if this applies to positive *print* stock,
which is what 3Discover would be using.
