In our lab we have run into the nomenclature confusion in many different ways.
So we tend to frequently put the effort into saying "binocular stereoscopic".
This term would not fully serve the list as not all the technologies are
binocular (i.e. 'jello-vision'), and some have argued that not all the 
technologies are stereoscopic.  However, any technique which presents to
the viewer a perception of solidity is rightly called stereoscopic (Dr.T's
Greek serving us all well.)				Gregg
