Sounds like a worthy undertaking.  I hope you are using archival-
quality materials, otherwise these "vanishing subjects" may outlast your
attempts at documenting them!  (E.g. Kodachrome in metal mounts, or
Cibachrome prints on acid-free board, etc.)
