Not just in your mind's view, in reality.  I suggest Dr. T. made an
incorrect statement about his eyes changing convergence when he moves
the chips to adjust window.

I maintain that your eyes' convergence is determined by aligning
the  window.  Once you've converged to align the window's vertical
edges, moving the chips doesn't reconverge your eyes, it only changes
the disparity in the scene relative to the window.  If your convergence
tracked the chips, the vertical window edges would go double.

I'm open to being shown I'm all wet about this, but right now I feel
pretty sure I'm right. :-)
