Stereo Window - Window on the world, Part ?

Lets see, I wrote --- then George said that I was
talking about --- and then Larry said No, he meant
--- and that George didn't understand it.

Apparently I used a phrase or term that doesn't
mean the same thing to all stereographers when
I used the term window reversal and that is what caused
the "confusion". Printmakers call it window reversal
when there is more subject matter shown on the outer edge
of the left image than there is on the inner edge of the right
image and more subject matter on the outer edge of the
right image than there is on the inner edge of the left image.
This "extraneous material" MAY or MAY NOT violate the window,
but it won't fuse and it is disturbing when viewed.
Slide makers may not agree with calling it window reversal
but that is the way it goes. I don't know how long printmakers
have been using this term, but it has appeared in the SSA
folios since the early 1920s.

I wonder what Mr Judge has to say about this particular item.
I don't have a copy of his book but maybe someone who does
will look it up and make a posting on it. I spent 3 days in Edinburgh
and Glasgow Scotland, in 1992, going from one antique book store
to another trying to find a copy of Judge's book with no success.
