Re: Newsletter Mania
I just received my FREE copy of "Everything Twice - The Journal of
the Rabbit Hash, Kentucky 3D Photography Club" and was pleasantly
surpised to see that it is published in color and, unlike any other
club newsletter I have seen, it is written with a great sense of
humor. Just like Rev. Charlie Hotchkiss, Director General, wrote
some time ago:
>I fear it is largely introductory in nature and lacks much in the way
>of tips and tricks, but the proof I approved had a certain charm. Our
>eight page effort is crammed with stuff. You will meet some of the
>townspeople, read film stock and lab reviews, read of our various
>programs aimed at increasing awareness and appreciation of stereo
>photography and see a naked lady with clothes painted on her.
>Enjoy
I enjoyed reading my copy. Thanks Charlie!
I just have one unrelated comment to make. Charlie keeps emphasizing
that his club and newsletter is small and informal, unlike some other
clubs, like Dr. T's... That's fine Charlie... A club based on Rabbit
Hash Kentucky cannot have the same character like one in Cleveland,
or Chicago, etc. Also, in the newsletter, Charlie writes: "The good
doctor has laid claim to the entire state, by calling his group The
Ohio Stereoscopic Photography Club." Well, first this is not "my"
group. Second, the name of our club "Ohio Stereo Photographic
Society" was proposed by club members (not me) and was voted by the
group. With members from large cities like Akron, this not a
Cleveland exclusive club. "Northern Ohio" might have been better
but you have one extra word. Plus, with Columbus OH only two
hours South and with no stereo club, I don't see why shouldn't we
have some members from there too.
