slides to prints with dupe tube?

     Adorama sells a slide duplicator attachment for SLRs, goes for about 
$55 -- of course it's for (mounted?) 8p slides.  

     I'd like to make print stereographs from Realist format slides.   
I'm wondering if anyone on the list has used a slide duplicator like this 
to copy Realist format slides to print film?  If so, with what results?
