Gary, I own a Compco 500, I bought it from Dalia a few years back
and it was in the US$400.00 to US$500.00 bracket. I like the
projector and had not had any problems with it. When it arrived it
needed a little work replacing all the old lube but from then on
all has been smooth projecting.

The major criticism of the projector, as told to me before
I purchased my Compco, is that it turns the projector bulbs on and
off during the act of changing a slide in place of a blanking
curtain, the on off cycle shortening the life of the bulbs. I have
not found this to be the case, the bulbs seem to be surviving
quite well and, if you do not like the blanking feature, it can
be bypassed via one of the switches on the side of the projector.

The only thing I would like to change to make the whole
package really work is the bulbs - to halogen. I have asked Dalia
if she knows of a source for CZA halogen replacements, much like
the halogen replacements she sells for CZX and DDB to suit TDC
projectors.
