Last April in preparation of and research for the Ohio Stereo
Photographic Society Dr. George A. Themelis
gathered this information regarding stereo clubs.
(sorted by number of members in parenthesis,
an estimate of the size of the club). I have added to
the list:

- The Stereoscopic Society (600-?, London)
- Stereo Club of Southern California (200, n. Los Angeles, CA)
- Stereo New England (125 att., Boston, Mass.)
- Cascade Stereoscopic Society/Club (60, Portland, Oregon)
- Detroit Stereographic Society (60, n. Detroit, Michigan)
- Oakland Camera Club (50, n. San Francisco, California)

- Utah Stereo Club (30, Wasatch/Salt Lake City, Utah)
- Pasadena Stereo Club (20, South Pasadena, California)

>or NY/NY?

I always enjoy hearing about the various club meetings (on P3D).
I have been a member of the Stereo Club of Southern California
for several years. I enjoy the '3D News' and several other club
newsletters that I have been reading lately.

I have what I think is good news/bad news. First the good news:
At last nights meeting of SCSC, The new club officers were sworn
in. Greg Hooper (Past president, 1988-1989) was named
President. Lawrence Kaufman (hey, that's me) was named
Vice-President. James Comstock and David Kuntz returned as
Secretary and Treasurer, respectively.

Now the bad news: SCSC has several members on P3D. But,
the club really does not have a voice here. Now that I am an officer
(it went right to my head), I would like to use P3D as a real
exchange of ideas. Our new President, and current board have
a lot of good ideas for the club. Some are tried and true, others
might be a new twist on an old idea. I will try to pass things along.
Which will serve as reminders for our members and information
for the rest of the group. As always, imput is greatly appreciated.

Our club is starting its 43rd year, but I am an infant in stereo
photography. I have loved 3D for my entire life, but the little
amount of stereo photography I have done would all fall into
the 'snapshot' category. I had hoped that Vice-President was
the title for the President of Vice. I now know (from reading
Dr. T's Ohio Constitution) that *The Vice-President presides at
all meetings in the absence of the president and assumes duties
of that office in the event of death or resignation.* Well, Greg is
young and healthy...so it looks like I don't have to worry about
that. Thanks for your time. SCSC website:
