In Search of Ortho-ness

I'm planning on replacing the plastic lenses in my Kodaslide I's,
with achromat lenses from Edmund scientific.

The question is, would it make sense to put 35mm lenses in the
5-perf one to use with my Realist and Nimslo slides, and 50mm
lenses in the 7-perf one to use with my 50mm lens camera's slide
bar shots?
(I know I'll have to use my dremmel to let me use 35mm lenses)

If I do, will this enable me to take close-ups (2-7 feet) of
people with the Realist and not get the ET effect? Or is that
due to more than just stretch?

Or, should I just put 40mm lenses on both, (sell one of them),
and use a plus 1 close-up lens and 18.7 mm interocular on the
Nimslo to take my portraits?

I wish I hadn't missed John B's session at the convention!

P.S. Loved the parts of the convention I could make it to. I
wish I had had more time and energy to actually talk to more
P3ders!
