Bert responded:

I asked John several months ago to join us. He is reluctant to do so 
because he feels " intimidated by some of the cruel criticism some 
members use against each other".
John follows what's going on here through something called the Bobcat Chat 
Line (?)

I remarked in Bellevue at the NSA con this year that I thought there was far
too much "negativity" on P3D,  not enough positive postings about a product
etc, but never did I feel that "cruel criticism" was evident and never
toward a person. That's absolutely ridiculous!  And doesn't deserve further
comment.  

I feel that we need experts on P3D and experts are the people who spend most
of their time with some aspect of 3D.  I have often heard the words "but I
don't have time."  And my answer is "do what you can, however small, but
participate."  I am from the school of thought that says that you must give
back in order to receive. Many experts receive lots of "good will" here and
therefore should be willing in return to help others by providing some of
their expertise.
