Ricoh KR-10M

Ernie writes that he wishes RBT would use cameras that are more "real"
then the Ricoh KR(XR)-10M.

I use a pair of these cameras linked together and I'm quite pleased wth
them.
They've certainly got lots of capability for the money: full manual
control or aperture preferred auto exposure, built in winder,
ability to use ubiquitous Pentax K-mount lenses etc. Any more bells and
whistles would largely be useless in stereo photography where you must
be sure both cameras do the same thing. They're also very light weight
and they use AA penlights rather than expensive lithium or pain in the
ass button batteries.

I like 'em so much I invested in a second pair just in case one goes
down.

A pair of Nikons would certainly have more prestige. If that's what
your after, knock yourself out.

Gary
