Using stereo slide viewing as the format of choice, lets consider the
factor of preferences.
Lets look at the publics concensus of fine art
by reviewing the masterpieces of our era.
(PLEASE....no more phone calls....the votes have been tabulated!)
Dogs Playing Poker
Velvet Pastel of Elvis
A Rose on Piano Keys
The KISS Poster
and of course....Cowboy Cheerleader Calender
Well....OK....so I happen to agree with one........
I like poker. I'm sorry George, the Rolling Stone
lips did NOT make the top 5 this year.
I think you see where I'm going with this hackneyed example! Yes, many
variables in the
mix determining likes and dislikes with anything!
Regarding photography........mood,subject,color
composition, 3-D etc. Many factors impact the
emotional response to arrive to a "like" or "dis
like" or indifference. A button has to be pushed
( no Red Button pun intended ) to get that
emotional response and 3-D just may not be
enough! Consider the vast 2-D products sold
like those mentioned above...I cringe at the thought of fist fights at
Wal-mart over the "Tickle
Me Elmo" stereo cards. Perhaps we should not
be too concerned with public opinion and be proud of our 3-D subculture
as it is! Just my
opinion.
( I hope I didn't lose my Dr.T endorsement)
