Humongous Dinosaurs

Did anyone else notice the mention of 'The 
Humongous Book of Dinosaurs' in the August 24th 
Parade magazine? I bought the book a few months
ago and never got around to posting about it.

The book comes with dinosaur shaped anaglyph 3D
glasses shrinkwrapped to the cover. I saw it at
the published price of $34.95, but I bought it for 
$18.49 at Costco. Throughout the book it has a 
gallery of 61 double page or single full page
3D dinosaur illustrations. The book is published by
Stewart, Tabori & Chang in the U.S. (1997) and
distributed by General Publishing Company in 
Canada. The book is copyright 1992-1995 by Orbis
Publishing Limited, London, England because the
book is actually a compilation of the mail order
magazine series 'Dinosaurs!' that was available
from Atlas Editions Partworks, Durham, CT beginning
in 1993. The magazine was serialized and covered
alphabetically dinosaurs from Abelisaurus to 
Zizhongosauris, their world and the scientists
who study them. They have now just printed the entire
series in book form, to fill up 1256 pages.
