Allan Woods gives the least-effort approach and is to be
commended for that. If you want to do it the hard way:
Focus the camera at infinity (not on the dial, I mean for
real; 6 m on the focus ring in your case). Loosen the
three set screws on the focus ring. You only need to
loosen them about one turn; no need to take them out and
lose them. Slip the focus ring off by pulling it straight
out along the lens axis. Now you will see a stop ring.
Again loosen three set screws, then pull off the stop ring.
Put the stop ring back on with its stop tab up against the
stop tab on the camera body. Put the focus ring back on
with infinity straight up to the mark. Yer done.
