Most good 2D graphics programs like PhotoShop, PhotoStyler, PhotoPaint and
similar, will provide stereo if you understand working with parallax in an
image pair.

The better 3D programs provide one or more cameras in the software to take
pictures of your 3D objects. The goal is just as in real camera stereo work.
Obtain two pictures, from slightly different positions relative to the
object or scene.

Then there is a special program for stereo image editing called 3D
PhotoFactory with a new version due soon. It streamlines working with stereo
images and helps edit, crop, align, set the window, and save in lots of file
types. His URL recently changed.
