Yes, there is a much better way. The very best method is with the new
program called 3D Stereo Image Factory from SOFTreat. This is the latest
update for the original program called 3D Photo Factory. Unfortunately the
new program isn't released yet but it will be in the very near future.
I've been using the beta version for some time now and helping iron out bugs
and improving on it's operational features. I'm also writing the help files
for the program. It's got to be the most comprehensive and sophisticated
stereo image editing tool in existence. It would simplify your project many
times over.
You would simply open your original TIF (or whatever) files, make any
adjustments you might want and start saving any and all of the various
versions that you wanted. It's use is very direct and intuitive. That would
include most major file types including but not limited to JPS. You could
easily create interlaced and anaglyphs too. It makes an excellent stereo
viewing tool too. It supports interlaced and page flipping LCS systems as
well as freeviewing and anaglyphs.
The newest version will be a free upgrade to all who are registered users of
the original 3D PhotoFactory. The original isn't nearly as complete as the
soon to be available upgrade, but it's a good program anyway, which is why I
chose to get involved with it.
