Dr. Mike wonders about the variety of stereo slide mounts:

Mike, control of the stereo window is important for any viewing
system. Generally speaking, the stereo effect has its greatest
impact when the closest object in the scene appears at or just
behind the window. So unless all your shots have foreground
objects right around 7 feet (or the normal stereo window placement
for your particular combination of heat-seal mounts and stereo
camera of choice), you likely could improve the visual impact of
some of your images by controlling the window placement.

If you choose to "mount to the window," you will in all probablility
use the same window placement for both hand viewer and projection.
However, some people do prefer to mount to infinity, especially
for projection. So the spacing of the chips (and thus the placement
of the window) depends on the scene, not the choice of viewing method.

Hope this helps.
