Digest numbers in subject line

Larry,
There are those of us who subscribe in digest mode and post replies from
time to time and forget to change the subject line. I have to admit that
I am guilty of that on several occasions. When I see a section of the
digest I want to reply to, I select the REPLY button on my mail reader,
highlight the section of the digest I want to quote, select the "Cite
Selection" button which places the text in my reply window and then
compose my reply.

Occassionally I forget to go up to the header and modify the subject line.
When that happens, the subject looks like this...

  Subject: Re: PHOTO-3D digest 2339
  In-reply-to: photo-3d's message of Tue, 07 Oct 1997 07:48:12 -0500.

because I'm replying to the digest. If I were in regular mode, I could
reply to the individual messages and the subject line would be correct. I
could also probably use the "burst digest" option to divide the digest up
into individual messages, however that too is more than I want to do.

So, my apologies for past discretions on the subject line as well as
future discretions. I know it's going to happen again and I simply ask
for your forgiveness and understanding.

Regards,
Ron "in digest mode" Beck
