Stereo pairs with mismatched exposures

After having my 3.5 Realist cleaned, lubricated, and adjusted -- and 
having a stuck shutter repaired at the same time (evidently a screw had 
loosened and fallen out of the shutter mechanism) -- I now find that with 
some pairs (just a few, and apparently randomly) the two images do not 
have the same exposure. I will, of course, send it back for more 
attention, but I'm just wondering if others have ever had a similar 
problem, and if so, what was the cause and how complex is the repair?
