I could not say it any better than this!
The quick way to adjust the rangefinder is to remove a screw at the bottom
inside of the camera (below the film plane in the right side). This gives
you access to the rangefinder adjustment screw. A better way to do it is
to remove the leather and 5 screws to take the bottom plate off. This
gives you access to the entire rangefinder mechanism. Once you set the
adjustment screw put a tab of glue (not superglue!) to keep this setting in
place. There are a few more screws that control the vertical adjustment.
Be careful not to scratch the front silvered mirrors if you attempt to
clean them. Use contact cement to put the leather back in place when done.
