DrT had a close encounter with Kodalux stereo mounting service and

I'm not sure pseudo has been "quite frequent," at least, perhaps, not
until very recently. Yes it does occur, but I didn't have a single
pseudo pair in my first 1-1/2 years of using their service.

Well, like I said, I suspect whoever is mounting has no clue about
the Colardeau progression.

My guess is they look for the first chip that looks like they one
they just picked up. If you have no similar shots on the roll, then
no problem.

I would never have imagined that anyone there would bother to look
at the mounted pairs. They can't afford to take the time for that
given the low price they charge.

Volume probably is too low and too sporadic for someone to
get good at it.

This is excellent advice, George. At one of our club meetings, one
gentleman asked the group what was wrong with one of his pairs. It
was pseudo, but all he knew was that it didn't look right. I believe
this gentleman has been doing stereo since the 50s, yet he didn't
know why the slide didn't look right. Imagine how difficult the
Kodalux mounting problems make it for a novice who doesn't understand
stereo!
