Realist Mounting Kit

Recently I bought a Realist mounting kit. It came with a cutter, sorting
box, tweezers, heat unit (for lack of better term), a weighted metal
piece that approximates a Realist slide in size, and a small metal tool
that evidently gets heated by the heat unit.

What kind of mounts was this kit designed for?
