IPIX 3D

Those of you who didn't attend last week's Photo3D show-and-tell in
Knoxville missed IPIX founder Lee Martin's demo of ... IPIX 3D: 360 degree
stereoscopic images viewed through Forte portable LCD display headgear
that *tracks* as you turn your head.

You're right -- the twin 180 degree rig doesn't quite work in stereo, so
*four* 90 degree segmental pairs were seamed together and worked rather
well. Of course, the definition of the very tiny LCD displays was wanting,
but the ability to *interact* with the very wide (I should say
*infinitely* wide) view was exciting.
