I'm guessing this was one of the Fleischer studios' Superman cartoons, and
the 'stereographic' they cite is a turntable apparatus with
full-dimensional model sets used as backdrops for the cel animation - quite
a striking effect.
It COULD be a 'true' 3D piece if it works with pulfritch glasses, but that
would just be a happy coincidence.
