What I said was that the thick window makes some slides more dramatic.
The glare can be a problem, but it varies from slide to slide. It
depends, I think, on the density of the image, and the position of
objects in the scene relative to the opening. In some cases I've been
able to reduce a bad glare by sliding the chips a little bit one way
or the other.
