report on Freeviewer's Assistant

I'd like to report on Alan Lewis's Freeviewer's Assistant and add my
remarks to Dr. T's previous review.
This little device is a set of 2 mirrors in a small wood housing that
you hold over your right eye like a monocle. It displaces the view
from this eye slightly to the right, hence making it more natural to
parallel free-view a stereopair. It weighs less than an ounce, costs
$60, and comes with a plastic box case.
The first four people I showed this viewer to were able to see a Keystone
stereo card image and some Loreo prints with less than a minute of initial
effort. None of the four had much practice with seeing stereo pictures.
This looks like a perfect tool for viewing stereo pictures in my albums
without removing them from their plastic sheets, and I'm pretty pleased!
Dr. T. mentioned a keystoning effect when viewing images with greater
horizontal separation, but I haven't been able to test this yet.
