ADVANCE PROGRAM ANNOUNCEMENT: STEREOSCOPIC DISPLAYS AND APPLICATIONS 1998

The advance program for the 1998 Stereoscopic Displays and Applications
conference is now available.  The conference is to be held January 26-28,
1998 at the San Jose Convention Centre, San Jose, California, USA as
part of Electonic Imaging 1998 and Photonics West 1998.

This year the keynote speaker at the conference will be Peter Smith
from University of Arizona who will be speaking about the stereoscopic 
imaging technologies used on the recent Mars Pathfinder mission.  Peter 
headed the team which designed the IMP (Imager for Mars Pathfinder).
Expect to see lots of stereoscopic images of Mars.
