Not just in stereo clubs. Anyone who has ever seen a 3D motion picture in
the last half-century has PROBABLY seen it in polaroid. The tiny handful of
exceptions is minuscule. There have been many other kinds of 3D
presentations outside of what you seem to consider the calcified, hidden
and hallowed halls of stereo clubs as well, and virtually all have been
polaroid. Early IMAX was polaroid, as are several "thrill ride" type
presentations. Granted, the layman is more likely to have seen View-Master,
but I don't consider that a "presentation" medium. In any case, my point is
that for someone who claims to be a professional and knowledgable 3D expert
to lament that polaroid "never caught on" is preposterous.
