>You guys like to beat a dead horse, don't you? The guy came in,
said "hi" and look what kind of reception he got...<
Admittedly the reception was a little hot, but I think most everyone
realized that this was not just a friendly note from a new member. It was a
professionally crafted sales pitch from somebody trying to make a buck off
the concept of 3D. If you've studied much on sales messages and/or
propaganda, you'll recognize the "friendly" introduction, the little homely
anecdote about 3D, and the gentle slip into a pitch for something wonderful
at his "new" website (which is identical to his "old" website which he was
pitching many months ago in a similar manner). The pitch will sound very
knowledgable to the 3D non-initiate, but to a group of *authentic* 3D
experts, the clues to the lack of accurate knowledge on the part of the
writer are many and obvious. His technique of carefully-worded
counter-attacks meant to sound wounded by what he characterizes as
unwarrented cricitism is classic propaganda technique. The guy didn't come
around to say "hi". He came around to make some money. He has no interest
in this group beyond that, and will not contribute anything to it. (And I
guarantee you he will attack me with some savagery like the poor,
misunderstood, wounded lamb that he is.)
