P3D Twinning Stylus Epics?

This past christmas I got my wife a stylus epic that has
a 35mm f2.8 lens. This was to replace her battered old Minolta,
which had seen better days. While reading the instructions I
noticed that it also has a remote control option. Of course that
got me to thinking if it would lend itself to triggering twin cameras
without the associated hassle of wiring regular P&S cameras. A
problem with this is, how well the cameras would be synchronized.
The camera can focus as close as 1.1 foot. Due to the small size of
the cameras they can be set horizontally with a stereo base of
105mm or even 80mm if the other camera is positioned upside down.
Vertically, a lens spacing of 50mm is possible!
So before going back out and buying another Stylus (and another camera
for my wife, since I would probably appropriate her Stylus!) has
anyone experimented with these cameras? Or should I stick to my non-
wired Yashicas and leave my wife's Stylus alone? :-)
Gabriel
