P3D Selectron trays!

I was just wondering!  I am changing over to the Realist system and I would like to 
know how the selectron carriers work on the TDC projectors.  How many slides can you 
put in the carrier at a time?  If you use the Selectron carrier, can you project 7 
perf?  Do you have to put a stack of slides in some type of case before you put them 
on the projector to project?  I would appreciate any information that someone could
