OK, the film is back and duly scrutinised. I have certainly got two
images, but the sync is not perfect (what - he wants perfection!). Looking
across the valley that my village is in, the result with two 6m releases
connected, is good (~500m distance to near point). However, from the
displacement seen in cars moving in the picture, I estimate about 1/25
second between the two exposures, giving a peculiar floaty effect to the
cars recorded. Amusing, but not exactly what we want.
Perhaps if I adjust the length of one of the branches of the hose, I
might be able to improve matters, but I suspect it will be a bit like
trying to trim one leg on a table, to make it stand level - you know the
scenario: once a wobbly dining table, now a wobbly coffee table. Maybe
sync to within 1/25 isn't bad...
