I used that film for a brief time about 15 years ago.  It was just 'OK'.
There was a bad fade rate, however, and the slides are now useless.  I have
thrown all of them out.  Perhaps the film has changed, but I would not 
chance it.

As for whether to shoot slides or prints, why not both?  Two cameras,
two different films.
