P3D Fluorescent Lamps

   I've been watching this thread from the beginning to see how it would progress
and either missed the very beginning or am confused about something.  What is the 
application for the fluorescent lamp.  Some replies implied it was for viewing,
others implied it was for photographing..... Could the orginal poster please clarify
what the lamps will be used for so we are all singing from the same page.  I have
a considerable amount of information on illumination technology but need a frame
of reference to know best what to direct where.  I'm pretty sure I can help.
