I'm glad someone had the balls to bring this information to the list. I've been fairly
disheartened by what I viewed as attacks on this kid. I think Bob makes some good
points. Namely, it's not like he's defrauding people (selling them a bogus product). He's
not selling anything. He's doing this for fun. He's making people happy. The only
people who seem to have a bug up their butts about it are the linguistic purists on the
list who seem to think they own the term "3D".

The kid's statement that "most people's glasses are red-right" is probably true. Within
the stereo community, red-left has been the convention. But thanks to last year's special
3D sweeps week (which network did anaglyphs?) which used RED-RIGHT, that's what
most real people are gonna have laying around. Besides, with the cardboard glasses..
big deal. Just fold the temples the other way.

As far as him "spreading dis-information". Some little kid's toy www site is pretty small potatoes.

FAR more people have likely been duped into buying bogus pulfritch videos. FAR more
people tuned into FOX's 3D fake a few years back (at least the scratch and sniff cards really
worked!). How many people have computers with "3D" something or other cards installed.
They aren't for stereo, are they?

The reality is that "3D" has many meanings in common usage, only ONE of which is
"stereoscopic". I think everyone would be best off if this fact was recognized and folks
tried to stay positive instead of attacking anyone who uses "3D" in one of the other
common ways.
